What are MetroShops?

MetroShops are operated by local businesses that sell their products and/or services directly online through MetroMalls.com and MetroShops.com, or they can link directly to their Metroshops store directly. Customers can shop locally through their Metro Area mall i.e.; Detroit.MetroMalls.com, or they can easily extend their search to MetroShops and shop for all products that are available regardless of operating area. If someone chooses to stay in a local Metro Mall, they will get only items and stores that are assigned that area. If they choose to "view all sellers products" from a product's detail page, they will then be shopping at that store exclusively. If they want to check out all of the products and MetroShops, the can do that too. In all cases the customer will be only have to check out once!

Shopping local can be a big advantage to consumers. You get to use the convenience of the Internet, but have the option in many cases to pickup or return an item directly to the store's physical location. Because MetroShops offer a low cost solution, smaller retailers that have great products and services, can sell them directly to the customers in their market. And, customers that normally might not buy from a smaller online merchant should feel more comfortable buying online from a business that they know is local to them.
